Update: 29/07/2020 - JOE BIDEN'S PLAGIARIST HISTORY GOES BACK DECADES
Lasse Burholt 14/07/2020 Joe Biden’s record of plagiarism goes back decades - “I did some dumb things, I’ll do it again. I was dumb” [Joe Biden] Joe Bidens record of decade-long dishonesty; back in 1987 he was exposed as a plagiarist. Archival footage/source: Media Research Center
Former VP Joe Biden joins Morning Joe to discuss assault allegations made against him by former Senate aide Tara Reade. Biden says the allegations are not true and they never happened. 01/05/2020
Joe Biden doesn't have a 'Tara Reade' problem, he has a messaging problem. The three time Presidential campaigner (1988, 2008, 2020) was on Morning Joe, Friday 1st May 2020, with Mika Brzeinski to address charges in the Tara Reade 1993 sexual assault case. Whilst Biden came across as sincere in his denial that 'it never happened,' he was combative at times and unable to fully or efficiently address why he was keeping his senatorial records sealed at the University of Delaware.
Washington Post reported on 11th July 2019 that starting in 2011, the terms of the agreement was "for two years after Biden retires from public office," but the day before Biden announced his presidential campaign, the university changed the terms to "retires from public life." Andrea Boyle Tippett, a spokeswoman for the University of Delaware would not elabourate and concedes that the nature of the agreement is not a public document, maintaining that "the entire collection is unavailable."
Mika Brzeinski, for her part, continued to badger Biden, introducing him as 'the apparent Democratic nominee for President,' to conduct a search for anything relevant to Tara Reade or look up her name in the collection. When Biden asked who would conduct the search, Brzeinski did not have a clear response. According to the same Washington Post report, 'The collection of documents that Biden donated to his alma mater fills 1,875 boxes and also includes 415 gigabytes of electronic records. It includes committee reports, drafts of legislation and correspondence.' It should be made clear that Tara Reade never made any claims of sexual assault against Biden until March 2020.
It is understandable, as a matter of 'privacy' that Biden did not want to prematurely open a collection of his senatorial 'decisions' to be used by the opposition. President Trump never released his tax returns. He 'billed' himself as a "saviour" of the American economy. Any documents that showed otherwise would have hurt his 'persona' and perhaps his chance at the oval office, since many of his voter base saw him as the man who wrote "The Art of the Deal." He didn't. Trump's ghostwriter, Tony Schwartz did.
As a matter of principle, however, Biden does have the support of the University of Delaware to search for any potential information pertaining to Tara Reade. He should have made this crystal clear during the interview. He should have been aware of the 'resources' and 'personnel' available to him. In 2012, the library received $30,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities for a dedicated computer and other materials for processing the collection. In addition, in 2013, they hired two assistant librarians to process Biden's senatorial papers, which was a two year project. In 2017, a senior assistant librarian and political papers archivist was hired.
In order for Biden to get ahead of this story, he needs to be careful not to make similar mistakes from his unsuccessful 1988 Presidential bid, where he was accused of plagiarism and lying about his academic credentials. Tara Reade has lodged a serious accusation that requires further discovery. Whether he will be vindicated or not is a moot argument since he has already been 'judged' by public perception both on his silence and reluctance to be more transparent. In essence, Biden has acted in a way he had accused others of acting.
Addendum (23rd May 2020) - When I stated in the original print that Biden needed to 'get ahead of this story' and not make the same mistakes from his unsuccessful 1988 Presidential bid, I meant, his 'rhetoric.' Let's be clear, Biden is not a great orator. He stumbles upon words and doesn't come across as either 'confident' or 'definitive.' He is a better writer than he is a speaker. For this reason (clarification update: on 11th May 2020), I included Tom Rogers article, "Words Matter." I totally agree with his assessment.
The Biden ad that precedes some major news programmes, including CNN and MSNBC, show Biden stuttering during the introduction, as he asks the viewers to join him on his presidential campaign. My initial reaction was the director should have called, 'cut' and reshot the segment. On video, you want to come across strong and able, not feeble. But his persona comes across as weak. Those who want Biden to succeed and 'riding on his ticket' need to STOP being enablers and pay attention to his lack lustre oratory performance. In addition, Biden must get the facts straight, be well read and all around prepared. This election is much a 'mental' game as it is a 'physical' one, so Biden must demonstrate both exceptionally well. Do not rely solely on polling and other puffery. This is a game of strategy and tactics.
The latest gaffe that cannot be ignored - 'You ain't black' if you vote for Trump, in response to a black voter.

Radio personality Charlamagne Tha God joins AM Joy to discuss a recent interview with Joe Biden that is trending from controversial comments the former vice president made involving the black community. 24/05/2020 (Update). Listen up Biden camp and the 'delusional' enablers who are not doing any credible service to the 'presumptive' democratic nominee. Biden must get out of his own way, stop apologising for CONTINUOUS gaffes and start putting actions to words. There must be 'tangible' results, not more promises. With this stated, Biden can choose ANY woman as his running mate. He should not be 'hostage' to select a woman of colour, albeit that is what Charlamagne Tha God would like. It's important both the rust belt and the inner cities not be ignored. Whites and people of colour matter equally.
Democratic communications strategist Lis Smith discusses her view on how Joe Biden can beat Trump from his basement. Adrienne Elrod and Tom Rogers also joins the discussion. 11/05/2020. Biden 'enablers' Lis Smith and Adrienne Elrod make excuses. Surprisingly, as titled, "communications strategist," Smith is doing an awful job of it and Elrod is delusional if she thinks that 'Biden has done a great job'. When American voters go to the polls in November, it will be a contest of who 'stumbles' less. Indeed!
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden went on the Breakfast Club radio show Friday and questioned the blackness of any voters who would not support him. 22/05/2020. The Breakfast Club host Lenard McKelvey, known professionally as Charlamagne tha God
Joe Biden Full interview. 22/05/2020
MSNBC’s Ari Melber reports on the interview and how the “framework beneath this controversy still matters” apart from the “gaffe,” reporting on calls for reforming the Democratic party’s representation and policies. 22/05/2020. Biden needs to be 'less' cocky and pay attention to what is going on in the black community and address what he will do for this community. They are 'lobbying' for a better future and yes, they did help Biden during the primaries, many are 'generational' democrats voting on record. Biden 'Coat tail enablers' better listen up. He isn't doing a 'great job' YET. (Update)
